RESEARCH - Documentary film
An investigation into the "city-stades", these miniature pitches, freely accessible, no booking, no club, no governing body. Spaces of intergenerational mixing, social diversity, freedom.
The approach steps away from existing documentaries on the subject, which tend to focus on street-football culture, professional success, talent, technique, skill, and everything that comes with it: sportswear aesthetics, brand codes, and sports companies colonising the city-stade through sponsorship and painted branding. Marketing dressed up as authenticity.
The aim is to show the city-stade differently. As it is lived, not as it is imagined. Through photography, interviews, video and music composition, the film is built entirely with the people encountered on the pitches.
